| Urban Stories Theatre is casting its spring production: Queen of the Ring by Wendy Froberg. Directed by Sidney Knapp and Kris Vanessa Teo Queen of the Ring is a drama depicting the life of Johnnie Mae Young who, over seven decades, slammed, punched and clawed her way to the top of the women's professional wrestling world. The cast includes several colourful, rough-and- tumble female (and some male) wrestlers in addition to Johnnie Mae, and will have a strong physical component. The story takes place over an extended time period. Auditions: Tuesday November 28/2017 5-9 pm, Location TBA Callbacks: Wednesday November 29/2017 5-9 pm, Location TBA *Please prepare a 2-3 minute contemporary monologue for the audition. Actors should be prepared to move, we encourage movers of all levels to come out. You may also be asked to cold read. Performance dates: March 6-17/2018 at Arts Commons, Motel Theatre. March 4 and 5/2018 will be load in, tech and dress rehearsal days.
