Workshop: Audition Intensive
Saturday November 15th, 2008
Information:
Audition Intensive Workshop
with Richard Michelle-Pentelbury

To jump-start Morpheus Theatre's 2009 workshop program we are offering a 2 hour Intensive Auditioning Workshop entitled:
An Evaluator's Eye: the Semiotics of Audition for ACTORS and DIRECTORS (what the experts are looking for)

SYNOPSIS:
Experienced or novice, both are met by the same eye of evaluation, whether a canned audition piece, cold read, or improvisation. The director and production team, knowledgeably aware or not, is instinctually looking beyond archetypal BVEAT, SEMIOTICS, RELAY, DYNAMICS, and VERACITY. To be familiar with these devices is to be audition savvy; an advantaged tool-box of techniques for any thespian.

Instructor's Bio:
Richard Michelle-Pentelbury is a multiple-award winning 50+ year veteran of theatre. His training is "from SOLE through SOUL"; an opportunity not to be missed.

COST: $20 (registration online or by phone)
WHERE: Community Arts Centre, Former Currie Barracks
