Audition: Murder at Rillington Place

Workshop Theatre is holding auditions for the new play "Murder at Rillington Place" written and directed by Louis B. Hobson.

Auditions will take place at the Workshop Theatre rehearsal space at 120 Forge Road SE

Sunday February 15th at 7pm - Women ONLY

Monday February 16th at 7pm - Men ONLY

Wednesday February 18th 7pm - Call-Backs


Louis B. Hobson has created a whodunnit based on the infamous murder trials of John Christie and Timothy Evans in London, England in the 1950s. British, Welsh, Irish and Scottish accents,though not essential, are preferred.

Roles are as follows:


JOHN CHRISTIE... male 50s
ETHEL CHRISTIE... female 50s
TIMOTHY EVANS... male mid 20s (preferably no taller than 5'7")

BERYL EVANS... female 19
MALCOLM MORRIS... male 50s
CHRISTMAS HUMPHREYS... male 40s to 60s
INSPECTOR HOWELL... male 50s
INSPECTOR JENNINGS... male 50s military bearing
TWO CONSTABLES... males late 30s to late 40s
JUSTICE LEWIS... male 50s to 70s
DR. HOBSON... male/female 50s

LUCY... female 20s (will be double cast as Catherine Struthers)
KATHLEEN MALONEY... female 30s to 50s
RITA NELSON... female mid 20s to mid 30s
HECTORINA MACKLENNAN... female 30s to 40s
MURIEL EADY... female 30s to 40s

RUTH FUERST... female 20s

This is an open audition. Participants will be asked to read scenes from the play with each other alternating roles to illustrate their range.



A prepared piece is not required.
