| Fire Exit Theatre proudly presents the reverently irreverent HOLY MO & SPEW BOY by Canadian playwright, Lucia Frangione. Join FOLLIE (Diana-Marie Stolz), BUFOONA (Cyra Roman) and GUFF (Jaala Stolz) as they tell the story of Moses – an introverted, stuttering anti-hero who unexpectedly outwits death and leads his people out of slavery. And just for fun, these “clowns” throw in the tale of David – a shepherd boy-cum-hero who kills a lion, a 9 foot giant, escapes the jealous wrath of Saul, and becomes King of the Jews….only to blow it by sleeping with a married woman he sees bathing on her rooftop. Holy Mo & Spew Boy is written by Vancouver-based writer, actor and director, Lucia Fangione. Other writing credits include: Caribou Magi, MMM, Espresso, Paradise Garden and Leave of Absence, which will be produced by Pacific Theatre in Vancouver next season. Winner of the Gordon Armstrong playwriting award, Lucia is considered one of BC’s most promising writers. Directed by Val Lieske, the Artistic Director of Fire Exit and the co-chair of the Theatre Dept. at Rocky Mountain College (theatre@rocky). | |
